We may maintain records of your consent.

1) Online Store Terms

You represent you are the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or you have consent from a parent/guardian for any minor dependent. You will not use our products unlawfully or transmit malware/destructive code. A breach may result in termination or order cancellation.

2) General Conditions

We may refuse service at any time. Content (excluding payment data) may be transmitted unencrypted over networks; payment card data is encrypted in transit. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit the Service without our written permission.

3) Accuracy, Completeness & Timeliness of Information

Site content is for general information and may not be current or complete; your reliance is at your own risk. We may modify content at any time without obligation to update.

4) Returns & Limited Warranty

Returns are governed by our Return Policy. We offer a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for consumer, non-commercial use; wear-and-tear components (e.g., cushions, baskets, scratching surfaces) are consumables and may require periodic replacement—see product pages for compatibility.
Exclusive Remedy. For valid warranty claims, our sole obligation—and your exclusive remedy—is, at our option, repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price. This warranty is void for misuse, improper assembly, alterations, or commercial use unless expressly permitted.

5) Modifications to the Service & Prices

Prices, products, and services may change without notice. We are not liable for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance.

6) Products & Services

Some items may be available only online and/or in limited quantities. Returns and exchanges are governed by our Return Policy. We try to display colors and images accurately but cannot guarantee your monitor’s display. We may limit sales by person, region, or jurisdiction and discontinue products at any time. We reserve the right to correct errors or omissions (including after an order is placed).

7) Orders; Billing & Account Information

By clicking “Pay Now” (or similar), you acknowledge these Terms were presented by hyperlink at checkout, you had an opportunity to review them, and your order constitutes acceptance and forms a binding contract incorporating these Terms. We may refuse or cancel orders, limit quantities, and restrict orders using the same account, card, or address. If we change or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you using the contact details provided. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase/account information and promptly update it.

8) Shipping, Risk of Loss & Delivery

Title and risk of loss pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier (FOB origin), except where applicable law requires otherwise. Delivery dates are estimates. You are responsible for accurate shipping information and any redelivery/storage fees. International orders may incur duties, taxes, and fees that are your responsibility. Backorders/preorders ship when available; we may split shipments at our discretion.

9) Safety, Assembly & Intended Use (Pet Furniture)

Our products are designed and tested for stability up to the per-platform weight limit shown on each product’s page. If you cannot locate that information, email [email protected] before use. Weight limits apply per platform and assume proper assembly on a level, stable surface. Exceeding these limits may cause instability or structural failure. Even within tested stability limits, dynamic forces—such as leaping or multi-cat play, uneven floors, accidental contact, children, infants, dogs, or other pets—can still cause tip-over. All Mau products are intended for cat use only and are not designed or rated for human use or as toys for children or infants. Follow all assembly instructions and use only as intended. Where wall-mounting or anti-tip hardware is provided or recommended, drill into studs or use heavy-duty anchors appropriate for your wall type. Do not rely on adhesive-only fasteners. Improper assembly, misuse, failure to follow instructions, or modifications may void warranties and increase risk of injury or damage. See our Mau Furniture Safety & Securing Guide and the recommended guide for hardware.

  • Anti-Tip Hardware Recommendation. For added safety and stability, Mau recommends that all products taller than 20 inches be secured to a wall using a suitable third-party anti-tip device, fastened into studs or heavy-duty drywall anchors appropriate for your wall type. In homes with children, infants, dogs, or other large/active pets, wall anchoring is strongly recommended for all products, regardless of height. Mau does not sell anchoring hardware and does not warrant third-party products.
  • Children, Infants & Dynamic Forces. Children and infants must be supervised when near the product, particularly when cats are climbing, jumping, or playing on or around it. Children may climb, pull, or push furniture; dogs or other pets may bump, jump on, or push the unit; such dynamic forces may cause tip-over or damage even on a level surface.
  • Placement in Multi-Pet Homes. To reduce lateral impacts from dogs or other pets, avoid high-traffic paths, doorways, and play areas; corner placement against a wall improves stability. Use stabilizing pads under feet where helpful (supportive only; not a substitute for an anti-tip device).
  • Stability & Weight Limits. Products are designed and tested for stability up to the per-platform weight limit shown on the applicable product page when properly assembled on a level, stable surface and used as intended.
  • Maintenance. Inspect monthly; tighten fasteners; confirm stability; check any wall fixings; replace wear-and-tear parts when worn. Discontinue use immediately if any component is loose, damaged, or unstable.
  • Fabrics, Fillings & Small Parts. Some products include textiles, cushion fillings, wicker, rattan, natural fibers, or other components that may become exposed with wear or damage. Do not permit pets or children to chew, ingest, or mouth loose fabric, fibers, or foam. If any material becomes torn, frayed, punctured, or otherwise accessible, remove the product from use immediately and replace the affected component.
  • Damage & Wear. Regularly inspect cushions, baskets, wicker/rattan elements, stitching, zippers, and fasteners. Discontinue use if any small parts, loose threads, fibers, or foam are accessible—these can pose a choking or ingestion hazard to cats, children, and infants. Replace worn parts only with Mau-approved or equivalent components compatible with your product.
  • Third-Party Hardware. Links are provided for convenience; Mau does not sell, warrant, or endorse third-party products and is not responsible for their performance or installation.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK (IMPORTANT). By purchasing, assembling, and using Mau products, you acknowledge that dynamic forces (including leaping or chasing cats, dogs or other pets colliding with or pushing the unit, multi-pet play, uneven floors, or accidental bumps) can cause tip-over and agree to follow all safety and installation guidance, including the universal anti-tip recommendation for products taller than 20 inches and the anchoring recommendation for homes with children, infants, dogs, or other large/active pets. To the extent permitted by law, you assume the risk of injury or property damage arising from failure to follow such guidance.

10) Optional Tools & Third-Party Links

We may offer third-party tools “as is” without warranties or endorsements and have no liability for your use. Third-party sites/services are not under our control; review their policies before engaging.

11) User Content; Reviews & Submissions

If you submit reviews, photos, videos, ideas, or other content (“User Content”), you grant Mau a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, use, reproduce, publish, display, adapt, and create derivative works for marketing, analytics, and operational purposes, in any media now known or later developed, with the right to sublicense. You represent you own/have rights to the User Content and it does not infringe, defame, or violate law or others’ rights. We may moderate/remove content at our discretion and as required by law and the FTC Endorsement Guides.

12) Intellectual Property; DMCA

All site content (text, graphics, logos, product names, images) is owned by Mau or its licensors and protected by IP laws. You may not use our marks without written permission. To report copyright infringement, send a proper notice under 17 U.S.C. §512 to [email protected].

13) Promotions, Gift Cards & Pricing Errors

Promotions/discount codes are subject to their terms and may not be combined. Gift cards are non-refundable, not reloadable, and have no cash value except as required by law. If a pricing or availability error occurs, we may cancel orders and refund amounts paid.

14) Prohibited Uses

You will not use the site or its content for unlawful purposes; to violate laws; to infringe IP; to harass or discriminate; to submit false information; to transmit malware; to collect personal data unlawfully; to spam or scrape; or to circumvent security.

15) Disclaimer of Warranties (Service & Non-Warranty Products)

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN §13 (LIMITED WARRANTY), the Service and products are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES; YOUR RIGHTS MAY VARY.

16) Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAU AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, OR DIMINUTION IN VALUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE PRODUCTS OR SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO A PRODUCT WILL NOT EXCEED THE PRICE YOU PAID FOR THAT PRODUCT. Nothing in these Terms limits liability to the extent not permitted by law (e.g., for gross negligence or willful misconduct). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; your rights may vary.

17) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mau and its affiliates from claims and demands, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or violation of law or third-party rights.

18) Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including acts of God, labor disputes, supplier failures, epidemics, war, or internet outages).

19) Governing Law; Dispute Resolution (Arbitration; No Class Actions)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Binding Arbitration; FAA. Any dispute will be resolved by confidential, individual arbitration in Miami-Dade County, Florida, administered by AAA under its consumer rules; the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA) governs. No class or representative actions. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve disputes about arbitrability. Small-claims matters may be brought in a qualifying court.
30-Day Opt-Out. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of your first purchase by emailing [email protected] with your name, address, and a clear opt-out statement.
Severability (Arbitration). If the class/representative-action waiver is found unenforceable, this arbitration section is void as to that claim.

20) Privacy

Your submission of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

21) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a new date at the top; changes apply prospectively to future orders. Your continued use or new orders after changes constitutes acceptance.

22) Entire Agreement; Severability; No Waiver

These Terms (plus incorporated policies) are the entire agreement. If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

23) Export & Sanctions Compliance

You may not use the Service or purchase products if you are located in, or are a resident of, a country or region subject to U.S. embargoes or if you are on a U.S. restricted-party list. You agree to comply with all export control and sanctions laws.

24) Accessibility

We strive to provide an accessible experience. If you have difficulty accessing content or completing a purchase, contact [email protected] and we will assist you.
